VBS

When: July 12-15, 2026

Sunday, 12th: VBS Kickoff 2-5pm – games, inflatables, hotdogs !!

Mon-Wed: Dinner 5:45-6:30; VBS activities 6:30-8:15ish

Ages: Classes 4-18 years and adults

Come explore the nature of God and His love all around us!!

Power of Prayer

What we do: These are dedicated individuals who pray on behalf of others, often for those in spiritual or personal distress. Mark 6:5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. We at the Port Wentworth Global Methodist Church firmly believe that the laying of hands and the Power of Prayer can bring forth healing that only God and the Holy Spirit can provide.

Vacation Bible School

What we do: The primary goal of our Vacation Bible School (VBS) here at PW Global Methodist Church is to teach others about our heavenly Father and lead many toward a relationship with Jesus Christ.  We do this through engaging Bible lessons, activities (crafts, games), music, and of course, meals.  We hope to continue growing our church as we make connections within our surrounding communities.  PW Global Methodist Church is a safe place to land, have fun, and engage in our exciting VBS program each summer! This summer VBS will be July 12-15, 2026.

Wednesday Dinner & Bible Study

What we do: Join us weekly at 5:45 for dinner. These meals are intended to be a time for fellowship, with activities for all ages. Contact churches directly to ask about their Wednesday night schedule and any reservation or fee information.

Good Samaritan

For the remainder of this year, we will be collecting a special offering dedicated to supporting our Good Samaritan Ministries. We kindly ask that each person bring $1 to contribute, placing it in a separate offering plate that will be conveniently located both at the side door and in the Vestibule area. All of the funds collected through this special offering will be directed entirely to the Good Samaritan Ministries to help further their important work. If you have any additional questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact Debby or Gary, who will be happy to assist you.

Please join us in reaching our community. Church activities includes a wide range of religious and spiritual gatherings, including Bible study groups and prayer sessions designed to deepen faith and foster community. Additionally, they offer various social events like picnics, game nights, and fellowship gatherings that encourage members to connect and build relationships. The church also organizes numerous service and outreach initiatives, such as food drives, and charitable missions, aimed at supporting those in need both within and outside the community. We have concerts, End of the Summer Party, VBS and more to provide opportunities for personal growth and creative expression among participants.

There will be no monthly events in the Month of June or July. This includes Wednesday Night Bible Study and Prayer Warriors

We would like to make our church family aware of several important projects and ministries currently underway within our church home.

Our beautiful stained glass windows, which have been such a meaningful part of our sanctuary for many years, are now reaching the point where repairs are becoming urgently needed. A special fund has been established to help prepare for these restorations, as the cost of preserving and protecting the windows will be significant.

We have also been truly blessed over the past several years to maintain and share our Scholarship Fund, which continues to help support and encourage those pursuing their education and future goals. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue this ministry of giving and encouragement.

Please keep each of these needs and projects in your thoughts and prayers. As you feel led in your heart, we would greatly appreciate any extra support you may be able to give toward these special funds and ongoing ministries. At the same time, we kindly ask that this not take away from our regular church budget and general giving, as those funds remain essential for the daily ministry, operation, and continued growth of our church family.

Thank you for your faithful generosity, your prayers, and the love you continually show to our church and community. We are truly blessed by each and every one of you.

A Partnership Worth Celebrating

As a reminder, our conference has committed $50,000 per year for five years to support church planting and ministry development in Mexico. Already, we are seeing fruit. The Mexico Conference now includes 13 churches, with more being planted, and a growing movement of people hungry for the Gospel. Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your willingness to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

2026 Annual Conference at Epworth by the Sea

We are excited to announce that the South Georgia Conference of the Global Methodist Church will return to Epworth by the Sea on St. Simons Island for our 2026 Annual Conference!

Evening of July 8, 2026
Epworth remains a deeply meaningful location in our Methodist story — a place where believers have gathered for generations to pray, worship, and seek God’s direction. We look forward to returning to this sacred space together.
